What services do we charge members for at TCCU? Is there a monthly maintenance charge or a low balance charge? Is there a way to avoid the charges?
We do have some monthly charges. These are waived for members over the age of 60 or under the age of 21; or if a student taking at least 10 credit hours per semester; or if your only source of income is social security disability; or if you have a mortgage through TCCU. One day each month, on or between the 3rd and 9th of the month, we check the balance of our members accounts. We add up all of your savings accounts including CD's and IRA's. We also add up all your loans. If either all your savings or all your loans total less than $400, your account is subject to the following charges:
- $7.50 low balance fee deducted from your savings, checking or other account.
- $1.00 check cashing fee, each time you bring in a check. (You will not get charged for each check, unless you leave our office and return with more checks in one business day.)
- Your ATM charge will be $1.50 rather than $1.00.
- $3.00 for a printout of your statement.
These charges apply until we review all accounts the following month.
